Senior high school age girls from the United States and Canada, who are active in Girl Scouting or Girl Guiding, were eligible to apply. The American Senior Girl Scouts come from 25 states, and the Canadian Girl Rangers are from Quebec, British Col- umbia, Ontario and Alberta. The selectees are all accomplished backpackers and primitive campers. One of the purposes of the Lake Superior Hike is to foster international friendship between American Girl Scouts and Canadian Girl Guides. Youtheatre Program = cont'd from page 1 to conduct workshops, direct players and perform administrative duties. To help the young people gain experience in the actual performing of plays, one-act plays will be produced throughout the summer, to be put on at local recreation centres. A major production may be held at the end of the workshop.
