JUNE 16, 1971 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 9 KIMBERLY-CLARK TRADES GRADUATES ARE DINNER GUESTS Six members of the trades training program were honoured by Kimberly-Clark Pulp and Paper Company Ltd. at the Terrace Bay Motor Hotel on June 4th, 1971 with a social hour, dinner and presentation of certifi- cafes. Graduates are: Bruce McBride and Bob Hopper, Pipefitters; T .Wilson and Neil Smith, Electricians; J. St. Louis, Millwright; lan Macadam, Instrument Mechanic. ey D. Stewart, Electrical Supervisor, officiated as Master of Ceremonies. Don congratulated the gradu- ates on their achievement stating that they had now raised the number of graduates from the Company's Trades Training Program to 78. Mr. Ferrier added his congratulations stating that he was certain that each graduate had shown a great deal of personal interest in their particular trade and the accomplishment of requiring a trade was something that they would always have. John Ferrier, Carol Gorham, W. Megraw and D. Stewart conducted the presentation of certificates « and tradesmen's handbooks to the graduates. The guest speaker was Mr. R. Runnion, Construc- tion Manager at Terrace Bay for the installation of the new Recovery Boiler. Mr. Runnion has almosf 25 years service with Kimberly-Clark Corporation and has been Managersof many construction projects for the Corporation, the most recent one being the new mill at Huntsville, Ontario. He related many of his experiences on construction projects and at _ the conclusion of his talk answered many questions from the audience. Graduate, Bob Hopper, responded from the graduates and expressed his special appreciation to Neil Nesbitt and the other instructors and tradesmen who were involved during their training period.
