Prizes and trophies for play in the Men's Leagues and trophies for Ladies League were award- ed at the banquet which was held at the Moose Hall. Winners of Trophies for Ladies League Competition: The Peggy Wellings rink cleaned up in the Ladies League, winning three of the four trophies up for competition: The Seagram's Trophy, the Laskin's Trophy and the O'Keefe Trophy were all won by the the Wellings rink. Members of the rink were Peggy Wellings, Elizabeth Macleod, Jackie Calder and Shirley Cooke. The fouth trophy, the Molson Trophy was won by Shirley Richards, Isabel Marsh, Shirley Caron and Ollie Chapman. A special presentation was made to the Scotty Hamilton rink for their "eight-ender" in the Legion Zone Championships in Manitouwadge last winter. continued page 9 -
