To date, five students have been accepted as re- presentatives of Schreiber High School in the follow- ing areas: Kin Hi Leadership Camp = The Kinsmen Club of leadership course at Quetico Centre in August. Paul, presently in third year, will attend this course which is designed to develop insight into democratic leader- ship; to understand society's demands on a citizen; and to create awareness of oné's own potential for growth. Ontario Athletic Leadership Camp - Clover Dtkes and Roy Huard will represent Schreiber High School at the Student Leadership Program at the Athletic Leadership Camp, Lonford Mills, this summer. This is sponsored by the Ontario Department of Education The program is designed to develop leadership skills athletic skills, organizing ability, self confidence and co-operative, responsible attitudes. It is ad- ministered by the Program Consultants in Physical and Health Education and a staff of Physical Educ- ation specialists. Ontario Camp Leadership Centre at Bark Lake - Mark Stokes received his acceptance to attend the Ontario Camp Leadership Centre at Bark Lake, sponsored by the Ontario Department of Education. This program is aimed at teaching camping skills and developing leadership in students who may, at some future date, partake in outdoor education. The Yough Voyague Progam - Judy Chopty has been selected to participate in another program sponsored by the Ontario Department of Education in co-oper=- ation with the Travel and Exchange Division of the Federal Government. Judy, along with other students from this area, will visit in Chatham, New Brunswick, during the interval July 31st to August 9th. The participants in this program have an opportunity to: = meet and gain a better under- standing of other Canadians who live and work in another province whose regional and perhaps cul- tural background differs from their own: - obtain first-hand knowledge of the educational, industrial, artistic and cultural development in another part of Canada: - exchange viewpoints with other students, discuss different ideas and plans for the future, enjoy the social activities of another local- ity, and form rewarding friendships: - to sense for themselves the physical excitement of this country and share that experience with a group of other students. : Congratulations are extended to the above mentioned students. Jacqueline Zborowski has been nominated to participate in a two-way ex-. change of young people, arranged by the Department of Education and the Gqvernment of France.
