ARTS AND CRAFTS ANNUAL SHOW The Arts and Crafts annual show in the town hall had a most interesting display both varied and extensive. A large and appreciative crowd attend- ed. The exhibits included paintings, knitted and crotched crewel embroidery, batik, metal welded sculpture, bread dough art, latchhook rugs and many others. Many were surprised at the varied display enter- ed by the other public school elective course students. Coffee and cakes were enjoyed as the crowd strolled about studying the exhibits, many decid- ing to enter the classes in the Fall. The helicop- ter was on its way back to Ottawa, its headquarters, after laying fuel caches at Cambridge Bay, N.W.T. when it received the call to assist in the search at Schreiber. The helicopter, 450 squadron, covers a wide area, from Boggotville, Que. to Thunder Bay, from the American border to far north.
