TOWN TOPICS RECREATION BRIEFS ~- By Jerry Dupas MINOR FASTBALL REGISTRATIONS Minor Fastball registrations will be circulated through all the schools by Thursday, May 13th, of this week. All information regarding age groups, efc., is outlined on the registration form. READ THE REGISTRATION FORM CAREFULLY BE- FORE FILLING IT OUT. Once the registration form. has been completed properly, it should be returned to the Recreation Office by Thursday, May 20th at 5 p.m. Registra- tions for Minor Fastball will not be accepted after that date and time. The registration form also outlines the league which will be operated for girls this summer. All completed registration forms to be returned to the Recreation Office. CANADIAN RED CROSS LEADER PATROL COURSE The Recreation Office is presently accepting names of those interested in taking a Leader Patrol Course during the latter part of June. Candidates for this course must bé 17 years of age or over on or PLEASE before the completion date of the course. If you are interested in taking this course, be sure to contact the Recreation Office by the end of this week. If interest warrants it, a Leader Patrol Course will be held at the Terrace Bay swim pool during the last week in June. ROYAL LIFE LIFEGUARD COURSE The Recreation Office has received word that a National Lifeguard Course will be held in Thunder Bay from Friday, May 21st to Sunday, May 23rd. Registration fee and application forms must be mailed to Thunder Bay before Monday, May 17th. If you require additional information, be sure to contact the Recreation Office. MEN'S BASKETBALL A special meeting will be held on Monday, May 17th, in the large meeting room of the Recreation © Centre at 6:30 p.m. for all those who registered for the Men's Basketball programme.
