This new brochure will have an insert which will contain the names of the members of the Terrace Bay Chamber of Commerce. Members and prospective members will soon be contacted. The Chamber recently made a request that the local post office box lobby be opened for a period of two hours on Sunday evenings to enable our citizens who travel on the weekend, the opportun- ity to pick up their mail and newspapers. We are in receipt of the following letter from the Area Manager, Canada Post Office - Quote: " In February, 1969 the Post Office Depart- ment decided that in order fo give additional service to lock box customers, lock box lobbys of all Staff and Semi-staff Post Offices be opened on a 24 hour basis. This was authorized with the stipulation that in the event of vandalism the local Postmaster, in conjunction with his Director, has the authority to close the lock box lobby and return to daytime hours of service. Our records indicate that there has been excess- ive vandalism, causing damage = cont'd page 10...
