PAGE 16 . TERRACE BAY NEWS MARCH 18, 1971 SCHREIBER TOWN TOPICS Dick Warder is here with a group of seven couples from Haywood, Wisc. on their annual winter outing in this area. Mr. Warder's father was the Anglican minister in Schreiber when Dick was a boy and there are many reunions with old friends during the visit. Mr. Warder senior worte a book "Northern Lights" which is reassured by people here, since it is about his experiences during the years he spent in the area. About fifty members of the Kool Kats enjoyed a Trail Run and bonfire over the weekend, going north for the trip. Mrs. Ethel Pearson of Thunder Bay visited her daughter Mrs. Earl Glad and family last week, a highlight being seeing her granddaughter Barbara receive the Golden Hand in a Brownie ceremony. Mrs. Jack Rattray of Sudbury has been visiting Mr. and Mrs. George Gordon. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Holmes have their grandson, Eric Holmes visiting them. A group of twenty excited Schreiber high school students will leave on March 18th for a ten day visit fo Rome. They will be joined at Marathon by students from the high school there and go on to Toronto to travel with a special flight. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hill of Toronto are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd McLellan, their daughter Roxanne A delegation of Schreiber members of the Moose Lodge attended a meeting in Atikokan over the weekend. Mrs. Harriet McBride has returned after visiting with her family = Mr. and Mrs. Archie Freed, Prince Albert, Sask.; Mr. and Mrs. Ron Hutchinson, Ros- thern, Sask.; Mr. and Mrs. Ernold Lorenzer, in Kenora; Mr. and Mrs. Douglas McBride and her fathef Mr. John Miller, Thunder Bay. Tom Armstrong of Calgary, general manager of Commonwealth Construction, is visiting his brother Jim and family. RETIREMENT PARTY Retirement party in honor of Jimmy Figlioment on March 23rd in Schreiber Town Hall at 8 p.m. Dance and refreshments. EVERYONE WELCOME!
