COMMUNITIES HONOUR FATHER CANO It was not only an ecumenical, but also an inter- community farewell given to Rev. J.M. Cano with tributes offered by Reeve F.V. Harness of Schreiber and Reeve W.E. And like Reeve Harness, they often wondered at his speedy arrival when a patient was received - he might almost be called an ambulance chaser! Rev. E.C. Prinselaar, of St. Andrew's United Church, spoke of working with Father Cano in var- ious religious and community affairs and the deep interest he had shown in establishing harmonious relations between the various church groups. Formal presentations of gifts were made by Aurel Gauthier for the parish of Holy Angels Church and friends in the community; Mrs. Irene Moorey, for the Catholic Women's League; Mrs. Mavis Godin for the Catholic Parent Teachers' Association; . continued page 2 .......
