PAGE 18 TERRACE BAY NEWS FEBRUARY 11, FIFTH YEAR REPORT CARDS Fifth Year Students at Schreiber High School will be re- ceiving their report cerds on Mondey, February I5th. The students sre to retain the photostatic copy and return the originel, signed by a parent, to the School. Parents wish- ing to arrange en interview may do so by telephoning the school 824-2555 for an appointment. OPEN SCHOOL Mondey, February 8th, Schreiber High School held a success ful Open School. Interested citizens were able to observe numerous displays in geveral subject areas as well as activities sotually in progress. In the commercial room with a communication theme, students demonstrated the use of business mashines and typewriters. A Date Processing displey wes viewed in the other commercial ares, Mathematics projects were displayed in the Mathematics room. In the Seience room experiments illustrating concepts in physics were carried on by students with scientific in- teregtis. Biology and chemistry displays were also viewed. The gymnssium which was active during the entire evening wea the scene of gymnastics snd badminton demonstrations, folk dancing and cheerleading, English students demonstrated the funotion of the S.R.A. reading laboratory. An E.T.V. production was shown as well ag en illustration of the E.T.V. Equipment, The Geography room held many pictorial displays, serial photographs, costumes and artifacts of various countries as well 23 a demonstration of visual material production. The atmosphere in the French room was set by the attractive posters and the singing in Frensh by a group of students, A Canediana Displey and verious posters set the theme for the History Room. In addition e display of Guidance and Library materials were available in the respective areas. Appreciation is extended to the Sohreiber High School Home and School Association who provided coffes during the very enjoysble and worthwhile evening. Mr. Pokorny and Reino Pitkanen in History Room.
