BT.>0HOCL TRICK & FITLD On Friday, October 10th, the Schreiber end Terrace Bay Continuation Schools held a Track and Tield meet on the Schreiber Track. The events began at 10:00 a.m. and continued until 12 noon with lunch hour off, Events began again at 1:30 p.m. and continued until 4:00 p.m, Ribbons were presented for lst, 2nd and 3rd prizes, The point system was as follows: let - 5 phs., 2ndi= 3 phe, , 3rd - 1 pb, Schreiber won this year's event, but Terrace made a good showing considering the enroll ment. 4A Trophy for Track & Field Annual Com- petition was donated by the Kiwanis Club. Zycnts and | LE in the Givle events, Charmaine Dodge was ths biz point winner for Terrace Ba ay when sho took first in the Sr. High Jump, the Sr. 50 yard Dash, the 75 yd. Dash and a nerbcr of the winning Sr. Relay team. > also placed second in the Sr. Hop, Step Jurp and the Sr. Broad Jump. Carol Holford picked up a 3rd in tue Jr. Girls Hop, Stop and Jump, a <2nd in the Jr. 75 yd, dash and was an member of the Senior Girls! Relny Team, Myrne Wain- wright tock a 2nd place in the Jr. High Jump and was o meuber of the Jr, Relay Team. Marielle LeBlanc placed yard Dash ond a member of the Sr. Reley team. Moviag MocFadyen took o first place in the Jr. Girls Ball Throw for accuracy. Myrna Rhos Cordon placed 3rd in the Sr, Ball Throw for Distance and Rita Vezina placed 3rd in the Ball Threw for accuracy. Helen Laundy was a member of the Jr. Relay team that placed 5rd. In the evening, commencing at 8:30 p.m., Schreiber invited Terrace to attend their Social and Dance, The party was greatly enjoyed by both Schools, and the music supplied by records was exceptionally good, The programme of dancing, for which prizes were given consisted of elimination, lemon, and broom dances, 8quare dancing was held in the 4th form room, During the evening the presentation of the trophy was made by Mr, Bill Borsum to Schreiber Continuation School, and was accepted by Mr, Carswell on behalf of the Student body. Lunch was served at 11:00 p.m., cons- isting of delicious sandwiches and cakes. Pop was sold during the lunch, with a num- ber for a door prize on esch bottle.
