However, Sunday afternoon Structural showed why they were first in the Day Section at the end of the season by taking the rubber contest by the score of 3-1, Ldrian pit- ched a 5-hitter and the team played error- less ball behind him, Rapke was splendid for a losing cause allowing only 7 hits and driving in his team's only counter. Tuesday evening, the 3 out of 5 finals got underway between Structural and Shift #1, Structural were favourites at game time on the strength of the fine pitching displayed by [drian in his last few games. For the first three innings each pitcher allowed only 1 hit and nary a run, In the 4th inning, aided by a Structural error, Shift #1 were able to garner 1 run and in the 5th inning, Peter Diduch clouted a home run to drive in 3 runs for Shift #A. Whitficld pitched a fine game allowing only 3 hits and at no time was he in serious trouble, The sec- ond geme of this series will be played to-night, August 21st, with future game dates to be announced over the P,AL, system at tonight!s game,' ; 0-0-0 HELP WANTED - MIE Applications will be received by the undersigned for the position of Caretaker for the new Continuation School in Terrace Bay.
