ROUHIAINEN FAMILY RETURN FROM FINLAND Mr. and Mrs. George Rouhiainen, with Roy and Aila, of Terrace Bay, have just returned from a trip Available for Counselling to all The Storm of Life "But He saith unto them, it is I; be not afraid." John 6:15-21. As 'the disciples © were crossing' the sea it becanie 'very rough because of a great storm. Even so with Christiafis on the sea of life. We 'often find ourselves in rough water. Never the less they -did not give up; they continued to row. This is a good lesson for us when the sea of lite becomes stormy and the night is dark we must -continue to row and look to, Jesus our Lord. For the Scripture teaches « us hat all things work together 'for good to them that love the Lord. Just as the Lord camé walking on the water to: His disciples. He will come to-us. In _ their 'hour of great need. ;He came to them and' they received Him willingly. God; 'will 'not force Hiinsélf 'upon us; but if we, just as the disciples open our hearts He will come to us.: When He entered the boat they were out of the storm for the Scripture states they were; immediately at land. If we as these disciples open our hearts He will come to -us and by His. grace and mercy we 'will be' but of 'the 'storm 'of life. Unsaved : friend Jesus died on a cruel créss to save you 'from the cordettindtion af sin. Though your sin 'is 2s Searlet it can be white as gnow::-by 'the blood of. the 'LEdrd Jesus Christ. 'Confess Him as. your Saviour today: Christian look to Him in your hour of great need; for the Scripture saith, 'we can do all. things through . Christ who, strengthenth us." May -God. bless you. to Finland. It is fifteen years since Mrs. Rouhiainen saw her native country. ~ They left Canada on June 27th, and returned on July 27th. The highlight of their trip was Mrs. Rouhiainen's father's 70th birthday and the occasion of her parent's 50th wedding anniversary, on July 18th. Their home town is Suononjoki and it was Strawberry Festival time in Finland. Mrs. Rouhiainen recounted how they picked strawberries by the light of the Midnight Sun, at twelve o'clock at night. Although the Midnight Sun had passed its height before they arriv- ed, she said George could read a book without the light on, at midnight. Mrs. Rouhiainen found Fin- land very modernized, where the people-seemed happy, comfortable and extremely welldressed. Horse drawn carriages took tourists on sight-seeing trips and all the motor cars she saw she described as mini-mini. Many older men drive motorcycles, her father at 70 among them. Driving through the - country side, they came to a building project, which looked like a smal! town. continued page 8 . eae we aes ere ee ere ee A RN FP CE SN REN RE CC COLLIS «ATG A
