"MIKE" DAY PLANNED For several months a committee has been meeting at regular intervals to discuss and make plans for a celebration to honour Terrace Bay's first doctor, D.J.M. "Mike" McCausland. The date was set - Saturday, August Ist with proceedings to start at 7.30 p.m. and the place the Terrace Bay Arena. Residents of the entire district are included and all are welcome. During his years in Terrace Bay Dr. Mike has delivered over 700 babies. Some of these babies are no longer children but for those who still reside in the district and for those who would like to do so, the committee have ribbons to distribute which proclaimt the wearer a "Dr. Mike Baby". Mrs. Betty Cruikshank has these ribbons and will tell you where you can pick them up. Buttons will go on sale immediately and these will be your "open sesame" to the dance which will start at 9 p.m. An album is being prepared which will hold cur- rent photos of Dr. Mike's babies.
