ARTS CRAFTS - cont'd from page 4 .... Craft Guild was an added attraction. The display consisted of mobiles, copper tooling, copper ena- meling, leather craft, stuffed toys, ceramics, rug hooking, candles, wood carving and macrame. Mr. Frank Potacnik, wood carver, demonstrated his craft and soon had the chips flying when several teenagers tried their hand with a block of wood. Mrs. Florence Tamblyn demonstrated the art of macrame and brought several samples of the craft. Mrs. Kazik worked at leather tooling and creating jewellery. Another enjoyable feature of the exhibit was the "sidewalk cafe", in the school lunchroom, where lunch was served by the following mini-skirted young ladies: Debbie St.Louis, Sharon Bougie, Sherry Boutilier, Debbie Johnson, Michele Rochon, Mary Pat Santerre, Judy and Cathy Zwaresh, Pat Megraw, Brenda Richards, Leigh Ann McBride and Kelly McKie. Several draws for water colour paintings, donated by Mary Middaugh, were made during the show. Reeve Cavanaugh and Mrs. Cavanaugh made the draw on Friday - Mrs. Leslie Rowsome being the winner. Saturday afternoon, Mr. Jerry Dupas, Recrea- tion Co-ordinator, drew the name of Mrs. Lark of Schreiber as winner. Mr. and Mrs. Ferrier drew the names on Saturday night - Mrs. Rita Corrigan won the evening's water colour, Cont'd page 8 ...
