ALL ONTARIO BADMINTON TOURNAMENT At the All-Ontario Badminton Championships held last Friday and Saturday in Hamilton, none of the competitors who were part of the N.W.O. $.S.A. contingent that consisted of the top Players from Schreiber, Terrace Bay, Marathon and Thunder Bay, were able to place in the top four in their respective events. The competition was, of course, very keen among the one hundred and sixty-six competitors who were in attendance. And so, even though they did not return home with the coveted distinction of being Ontario champions, congratulations go to Reid Boutilier and Susan Graham, who earned, through their outstanding achievement in badminton this year, the right to a position on the seven-member team that represented North-Western Ontario at this tournament. ~ SCHEUCHENPFLUG TROPHIES ON ES Appreciation is extended to Mr. W. Scheuchenpflug of Terrace Bay, who has donated two attractive trophies (as shown in the photo) to the Lake Superior School Division. 'These trophies will be awarded annually to the girls and boys winning basketball teams of the © four competing schools, Manitouwadge, Marathon ' Schreiber and Terrace Bay. Congratulations are extended to the initial winners of the trophies, the Marathon boys and the Terrace Bay girls basketball teams. MANITOUWADGE WINS GYMNASTICS TOURNAMENT On Friday, April 24th, the Gymnastics Tourna- ment was held in Manitouwadge with seven schools competing. Congratulations to Manitouwadge, who were the overall winners, with the other schools paeks in the following order - Wawa, Schreiber, arathon, Terrace Bay, Niprock and Chapleau .
