RECREATION BRIEFS - By Jerry Dupas GIRLS RINGETTE - HELP NEEDED In order to transport our Ringette girls down to Manitouwadge next Tuesday, March 24th, two or three additional cars are urgently required. The first game of the tournament is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. All cars will then leave from Terrace Bay at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. The tournament will end at 4:30 p.m., and at that time luncheon and refreshmentswill be served. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ASSISTING THE GIRLS IN OUR RINGETTE LEAGUE BY DRIVING THEM TO MANITOUWADGE, PLEASE CALL THE RECREATION OFFICE - 3542. RINGETTE TOURNAMENT, MARCH 26TH On.Thursday, March 26th, the Terrace Bay Girls' Ringette League will be hosting an inter-town Ringette tournament. A total of six teams will be participating in the tournament. Here is your oppor- tunity to watch the game of Ringette in action. Details of the trounament will appear in next week's News. PLAN TO ATTEND. JUNIOR HOCKEY TURNOUT ENCOURAGING A total of twenty-four people attended the Junior Hockey open meeting last Thursday, March 19th in the Recreation Centre. Items of discussion related to the formation of a Junior Hockey Club for the 1970-71 season, fund-raising, number of people on the executive, discussion of problems and con- cerns, etc. It was decided to hold another open meeting on Tuesday, March 24th, at 7 p.m. in the Craft Room of the Recreation Centre, for the sole purpose of electing the executive for the /70/7) season. The greater the representation at this meeting, the more successful will be the forthcoming season. O.M.R.A. CONFERENCE THIS WEEKEND A total of thirty delegates will be attending the Recreation Conference this coming weekend. Of the thirty delegates, thirteen will be local people. We hope that the conference will be interesting and informative for all the delegates. The confer- ence is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. Friday evening and end at 7 p.m. Saturday.
