MARCH 12, 1970 BRIDAL SHOWER HONOURS PAT SIMMER Miss Pat Simmer was the guest of honour at a Bridal Shower held in the Community Church hall on March 5th. On her arrival, Pat was presented with a corsage" of red roses. Her mother, Mrs. M. Simmer, and her finance's sister-in-law, Mrs. V. Fenton, were each presented with a carnation corsage. ahi lated hall and the wishing well, in which the gifts were placed. There are outdoor events, followed by indoor events such as games of skill, a fish pond, ring toss, and so on, all put on by the students of St. Martin's. A hot dog supper will be served from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. All proceeds will go to assist a Jamaican School where a former member of St. Martin's staff, Miss Sheila Hughes, is now teaching. Sympathy is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Dan Gillis who were called to Toronto to attend funeral services for Mrs. Arthur B. Lewis, Dan's sister who passed away on Monday, March 2nd.
