Chawle of Terrace Bay High School staff, effective the 27th of June, was accepted with regret. It was. decided to repair the school bus which is the property of the Board at an approximate cost of $750.00 This bus is used extensively for field trips. Application will be made to the Thunder Bay Health Unit te consider the inclusion of Heron Bay North and South in ites area of jurisdiction. Heron Bay is presently served by the Health Unit located in Sault Ste. Marie. The Ontario Paper Company has advised the Board that the Heron Bay South Townsite, including the pumping station and sewage system, will be cloged prior to September Ist, I970 The Director is to prepare a recommendation on the future of the Heron Bay school for the March board meeting. After this, the students assembled in the gym for th beard judging. Brian Ramsay won in the students' division and Mr. E. Hickerson was the winner of the teachers' division. Following the judging of snow sculptures, and a' session of Kangaroo Court, all looked on as the Carnival Prince and Princess Al Cadieux and Molly Ross respectively were crowned. The afternoon a 3 was ended with the teachers' version of Laugh-In 7 f | entitled 'Teach-In'. Friday evening and Saturday morning g Raskétballl games between Terrace Bay and Geraldtot-were play4y ed. Terrace Bay girls were victorious as were Geraldton boys. Terrace Bay junior boys joined the senior team for these games and worked hard to offset size with speed. At the dance in the evening, featuring our local Harbingers, Carnival King Jim Garriock and Queen Judy Graham, were crowned. Thanks to the mer- chants of Terrace Bay each were given several prizes. The Yearbook Staff and Students' Council would like to thank all those who supported, helped and participated in the Chili Supper and Winter Carnival .
