A special Northwestern Ontario Youth Seminar Workshop will be held in the Community of Atikokan from Sunday, March 22nd, to Friday, March 27th. This workshop is designed to develop potential and well versed community youth leaders to further devel- op their creative skills and leadership capabilities. We are hopeful that Terrace Bay will be sending four of five youth leaders to this workshop. If you require additional information, contact the Recrea- tion Office at 3542. NORTH SHORE MINOR HOCKEY RESULTS Results of the Minor Hockey games played last weekend were as follows: MAJOR PEEWEES - Saturday, Feb. 28th - Schreiber 5, Terrace Bay 3. | Sunday, March Ist - Schreiber 4, Terrace Bay 2. | BANTAMS - Saturday, Feb. 28th - Terrace Bay 3, Schreiber 1; Sunday, March Ist - Terrace Bay 7, Schreiber 3. Our local Bantams will be playing the winner of the Manitouwadge - Marathon series this coming weekend for the North Shore title. The series will be 26game total goals, the first game to be played in either Manitouwadge or Marathon on Saturday, March 7th, and the second game to be played in 4 Terrace Bay on Sunday, March 8th at 2:00 P.M. MINOR HOCKEY FANS - our boys need your support] '| REGION "A" RECREATION CONFERENCE Plans have now been finalized for the Recrediin Conference which will be held in Terrace Bay on | March 20th and 21st. JUNIOR HOCKEY ASSOCIATION OPEN MEETING The Junior Hockey Association will be holding a meeting open to all interested people in the commun- ity on Thursday, March 12th, at 7:00 P.M. in the TERRACE BAY NEWS MARCH 5, 197 ay large meeting room of the Recreation Centre. We are hopeful that there will be a good attendance 'at this meeting as discussion will take place regarding _ the operation of a Junior Hockey Club forsthe forth coming season. We are hoping _ that people attending this meetir will be able to offer suggestions or ideas for next year's operation. A number of things will be dis= cussed, so plan to attend. Keep the Date of THURSDAY, MARCH 12TH open to attend this all important meeting. " CRAFT IN" - APRIL 24TH TO 26TH A Craft In Conference will be held at Confeder ation College in Thunder Bay from April 24th to ~ 26th for organizers of craft groups and Recreation ~ programmes, hobbyists, craftsmen and retailers of © local crafts.
