McPARLAND - BELLON WEDDING Poinsettats and white mums formed the setting in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Saturday December 27, 1969 for the wedding of Paula Giovanna Bellon and John Joseph McParland. Rev. D. Pruner officiated at the ceremony and Mrs. Toppozini was soloist accompanied by church organist, Mrs. Bower. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bellon, Sioux Lookout, Ont. and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold McParland, Schreiber, Ontario. Given in marriage by her father the bride was wearing a formal A-line gown of velvet designed and made by her parents. The gown was styled with long full sleeves, gatir ered into a wide cuff. trimmed with a band of beaded lace. The high neckline and hem were Her chapel veil was held by & cluster of rosettes and lily of the valley. She carried a cascade of white carnations accented with satin streamers and ivy. Miss Luanna Bellon attended her sister as maid of honour. Her gown was a skirt of jade velvet topped with a white bodice of flocked marquisette,-long full sleeves and victorian neckline. The bridesmaids, Miss Jacqueline Vienneau, Miss Ermenia Bastone and Miss Julianna Kitt (niece of the bride) wore identically designed gowns with the cranberry red skirts. They carried semi-cascades of white carnations and wore white velvet ribbons entwined in their hair. Richard Chicoine was best man, and ushers were Dennis McParland (brother of the groom), James Gellert and Leonard Godin, A dinner was held at the Welcome Motel where the continued page 8 .....
