LETTER OF INTEREST Mr. C. Brant, President, Aguasabon Snowmobile Club, Terrace Bay, Ontario. Dear Mr. Beant, It is quite apparent to Council that snowmobiles insist on travelling public streets contrary to the wishes of your Club, as well as Council. As you know, Council decided to allow the Aguasabon Snowmobile Club sufficient time to discourage snowmobilers from using the streets - except of course - very limited use for access purposes. Considering the safety of snowmobilers as well as the general public, Council must insist thet this broad use of Town- '|| ship streets discontime immediately. } Prior to taking any action, Council and | local authorities will watch the activitie |_| of snowmobilers for one week to see if "- 4 '||| this problem subsides. | Your continued efforts to discourage || your members from using the streets might 'jj help avoid the passing of a restrictive by-law. cs Yours Truly, W. Hanley, Clerk-Treasurer, TO THE PEOPLE OF TERRACE BAY h As Council has quoted it is quite apparent that snowmobiles a must not travel public streets. We snowmobile executives |heartily approve of this action for your own safety. C. The Ladies Auxilairy to Guides and Brownies held their first meeting of 1970 on January 26th, with only ten members and Guiders present. This was the poorest attendance to an L.A. meeting in the past two years. If more parents and L.A. members do not turn out to the meetings, there is a good chance that the L.A. will no longer be, and this means no Brownies continued page 8
