The regular monthly meeting of the Community Church Board took place on Monday night in the Church hall, with,Peter Vanderkam in the chair. Reverend Husser opened the meeting:with ; orayer } | Correspondence included a letter from Mrs. A. Chisholm, with her resignation from the Board. A letter from John Dejonghe raised an objection to 'dancing in the Church. This matter will be taken under advisement by the Board of Elders. Reverend Husser advised of the various Christmas services to take place including the White Gift service, Christmas Sunday Service, with the Sunday School service to take place the same evening, Communion Service, Christmas Eve, at 7 p.m., and Christmas Family Day, at 11 a.m. on Christmas Day. Reverend Husser announced he would be away the Sunday following Christmas, and the service at that time will be taken by Captain Goodrich, with the Salvation Army Band, of Fort William presenting a Worship service in music and song. SUNDAY SCHOOL CHRISTMAS CONCER The Community Church Sunday School presented their annual Christmas Concert on Sunday evening at 7 p.m. Members of the Sunday School read old and familiar passages from the Bible, telling of the Nativity, interspersed by the singing of Christmas carols by the whole congregation. Several short skits were portrayed by other mem- bers of the Sunday School. Mr. B. Last Monday evening in the Recrea~ tion Centre were gathered most of the hockey ivory of our community. A rather rigorous discussion was held during which all present had a chance to throw in their 2¢ worth. From this would-be hot stove league, came a mo- tion to elect a tentative 5-man committee with the continued page 4 .....
