The tables were suitably decorated with a Christmas theme and the girls were gracious hostesses . When the guests first arrived, they found the girls going about their daily routine of sewing ,baking]} and knitting. There are thirteen girls in the course with Mrs. Helen Brooks instructing . There are modern hairdressing facilities, electric sewing machines, steam irons, a completely equipped] home kitchen, garbage disposal, dishwasher, auto~ -- matic washer and dryer and a commercial kitchen to teach short order cooking, with counter and four stools. Although there are so many activities going on at one time, because of the spacious work areas, there is no confusion. The girls had created a Storybook House, right out of Fairyland, with puffed rice giving the walls a look of chipped wood,. peppermint patties in gay colours made a bright tile roof, and chocolate bars resemble a mahogany door. The house will be raffled in the school among the students, with proceeds going to the Students Council. Please see photos on Page 16...seceeseccees
