Collinson who recently moved to Chapleau and thanked Elmer Niemi who has filled Mr. Collinson's position on the credit committee so capably Mr. Harness then introduced B.A. McLellan, of the Lakehead CPR Credit Union, who said, in part, that Credit Unions are operating under differ- § ent conditions than in former years. The former boundaries seemed unreasonable and after study of the economic: areas, as designated by a government survey, these appeared to be what is required, with sub- divisions as necessary . He suggested that a development fund campaign be planned with a five year goal, and to further this that regional organizers be appointed or elected. Mr. Haddad further suggested that thought be given to combining the offices of chairman and O.A.M.R. representative,when election of new officers takes place: This move is an emerging pattern in the association. Mr. Ferron said his meeting with officials of the Department of Education in Atikokan had been most successful, being promised their full co-operation. He had also been assured by E.J. Morgan, Director of Education, Lake Superior Divisional Board of Education, that every effort would be made to es- tablish a school in Schreiber. The next meeting was planned for Saturday, April 25th, in Nipigon.
