NOVEMBER 6, 1969 TERRACE BAY NEWS : PAGE 17 UNIVERSITY EVENING" . MAGAZINE DRIVE ' Schreiber High School students*council is holding a magazine drive from November 5th until Novem= ber 10th. An assembly will be held Wednesday afternoon to start the campaign. Students will sell magazines within their own' homes Wednesday night. A blitz of Schreiber, Rossport and Terrace Bay will take place Thursday night. Funds raised from the magazine drive will be.used to purchase a trampoline for the school . A Snoopy school booster badge will be awarded to every student for his first sale, a super "6" comic badge to the first thirty-six students making three sales, The traffic cushions, antique taxi-horns, dream pets and many other prizes as shown in the photo below are being offered. The class with the highest average sales for the twenty-four hour period will be awarded "the snoopy mascot" and the high salesman for the weekend of November 7th to 9th will receive "caveman". The students and faculty of Schreiber High School are sure that the communities will support this campaign by welcoming the students when they call at your homes. Students from Schreiber and Terrace Bay High Schools left by bus Monday afternoon for "University Evening" at Sir Winston Churchill Collegiate and Vocational Institute, Fort William. The program started at 7.30 with an assembly in the gym. We were were introduced to fifteen representatives from Ontar jo universities, one from McGill University and Quebec, and a representative from the Department of University Affairs. Each student could choose two universities and meet with their representatives dur- ing the two sessions. Each session lasted forty min- utes. We wish they could have lasted longer as ever- one had many questions. Many students from through out the district attended.
