MEETS IN SCHREIBER A regional meeting of the Catholic Women's League was held in the parish centre of Holy Angel's Church, Schreiber, on October Ist with Mrs. Kay Stefurak presiding. The meeting opened with prayer, followed by O Canada, and a passage of scripture read by Father J.M. Cano, director. Mrs. Stefurak welcomed the guests and introduced the following officers: - Mrs. C.B. Devlin, diocesan president; Mrs. Norah McGuire, third vice president (diocesan); Mrs Mary Shack, past president, (dioc- esan); Mrs. M. Staluk, diocesan recording secretary Miss Marion Prescott, parish recording secretary. Mrs. Devlin spoke on the new convenerships and Father Cano spoke of the importance of love, what it means, and adjured members to truly appreciate the blessings they enjoy in everyday life and not take them for granted. NEW OFFICERS INSTALLED The regular meeting of the Catholic Girl's Club was held October 5th. : The following officers for the year were elected - Dale Sisson - president; Rosemary Speziale - vice president; Rosemary McParland - secretary; Lola Scott - treasurer .
