In the past year your donations have provided these clinics for all crippled children in our area, aided in the purchase of artificial supports and limbs, sent children on emergency to the Toronto Centre for Crippled Children and given periodic nursing care to children at home. Our financial objective for this year is $1300. form Marathon, Terrace Bay, and Schreiber. This has not yet been realized. INTERMENT IN TERRACE BAY CEMETERY Terrace Bay was saddened with the death of a 20 year resident, Mrs. B. Garvin (Eveline) on April 10th in Terrace Bay hospital. Mrs. Garvin was our first Librarian here. She is survived by her husband Bart, son Bill of Winnipeg and two sisters from Dryden and Winnipeg Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 12th in the Community Church with Rev. T. Garnet Husser officiating. Two hymns were song " | know That MyRedeemerLiveth" and "O tcve That Will Not Let Me Go" with the choir in attendance and Mrs. E. Hodgkiss at the organ. A message of comfort to the family was given by TERRACE BAY NEWS JULY 17,1969 Mr. Husser intitled "Ils God Therz' - "The Cry Of Mankind In The Midst of Suffering". Luncheon was served from a lace covered table centered with a floral arrangement of daffodils and tulips in an antique copper teapot surrounded with Easter novelties. Mrs. Herb Legault, Mrs. Herb Lif and Mrs. M. Price captured the prizes at the weekly games of the five hundred card club Wednesday evening. The hostess Mrs . Eugene Gerow served a luncheon from a table decorated in the Spring theme. Three local teams entered the Marathon "Cen- tennial Plus Two" Mixed Bonspiel last weekend. Winning the bonspiel was the McLeod team of Hector and Liz McLeod and Charlie and Dorothy Koski. STORK CLUB Born to Mr. and Mrs. S. Zwaresh of Terrace Bay a boy - Neal Paul on April 13, 1969. Born to Mr. and Mrs. D. Courtemanche of Terrace Bay a girl - Michele on April 13,1969. This year will see the fabled coho salmon intro~ duced into Canadian Great Lakes water for the first time. One planting area will be in the Geraldton District. Twenty thousand coho salmon are to be stocked into Nipigon Bay of Lake Superior within the next two weeks.
