Ski Club News - cont'd from page 10 this coming weekend when the Club Championship races are held. Scheduled is as follows, Saturday March 8th - 2.00 p.m., Junion girls (11 years and j under) Junior boys (11 years and under), Sunday March 9th - 2.00 p.m. - Intermediate girls (12 to 15 Senior ladies (16 and over) Intermediate boys (12 to 15) Senior Men (16 and over). There will be a downhill and a slalom event for each group. Races are open to mernbers only and reg- istration will be open until race time. Spectators are very welcome. During racing there will be pleasure skiing as usual on the horshoe, rabbit and centennial runs. The Northwestern Ontario Directors of Recreation | Association held their annual meeting at the Town & Country Motel in Nipigon March 2nd. to.March 5th. The guest speaker was Mr. Gordon Dalzell, Director Lakehead Board of Education, Port Arthur, who spoke on the topic "Education - Recreation". Other guests included Mr. Dick O'Dell, Extension Department, Confederation College, representatives of the Nation al Film Board, Red Cross, and Royal Life Saving Society. D. Courtemanche Rec. More progress in the care and treatment of the crippled child has been made in the past 25 years than during the whole previous history of man- kind.
