CHILDREN THE CHRISTMAS STORY Like turkey and plum pudding, a gaily decorated everygreen is a Christ mas tradition in most Canadian homes. The evergreen, a year round verdure has long symbolized immortality. Ancient writers have report- ed that, on the night Christ was born, trees blossomed for one night and bore fruit.
