HOLDS REGIONAL MEETING The Diocesan Regional Meeting of the Catholic Women's League was held in Terrace Bay St. Mar- tin of Tours Council hosted the meeting on October 9th. The following Diocesan Officers attended: Very Reverend J.M. Cano, President Mrs. H. Shack of Schreiber, and Treasurer Mrs. G. Dashkewytch of Terrace Bay. Other guests from the Children's Aid Society were Mr. Morgan, District Supervisor, and Mr. Smith of the Nipigon Branch Office. Out of town members were from Holy Saviour Council, Marathon, and Holy Angels', Schreiber . Local President, Mrs. W. Corrigan opened the meeting, and welcomed all members and guests. Opening prayers were said and the Sacred Scripture was read by Father Greengrass of Marathon. The meeting was then turned over to Diocesan President, Mrs. H. Shack, who gave a report SCHREIBER ST. Heikkile Worship Service - first Sunday each month at 7 pem on the Ontario Provincial Convention and highlight- ed four major projects to be undertaken by C.W.L. members in the coming years. Very Rev. J.M. Cano then spoke on the develop- ment and peace program which is the project of the Bishops of Ontario. A brief condensation of this talk would be the need of personal involvement and understanding of the needs of the underpriveleged in the world. A few words of encouragement were given to Par- ish Council members by Mrs. F. Helmink, member of the Ontario Provincial Council of the C.W.L.
