Whent, visiting others in the Fum- merton families also. Mrs. R. Cote of Espanola has been visiting her mother, Mrs. H. Stewart. Mr. and Mrs. P. Minoletti and Peter Jr. of Ken- ora are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Innes West. Mrs. F. Fummerton returned from Ottawa after visiting her sister, Mrs. J. Lafoley. Mrs. J. Rattray is visiting her daughters, Mrs. E. Cameron and Mrs. D. MacLeod of Sudbury. Danny MacDonald has started training as X-ray technician in St. Joseph's Hospital in Port Arthur . Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. D. Moore are the latters parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Tasel of La Tuque and Dougs brother, W.H. Moore in Sault Ste. Mariel. Janet Clemens whose marriage to Ron Hamilton . takes place on October 12th, was honored at a shower tea in St. Andrew's Church hall. Receiving with her were her mother, Mrs. Wesley Clemens, her fiancee's mother, Mrs. D.Q. Hamilton and Mrs. J. Fisher. The tea was poured by Mrs. W. Hayne, Mrs. F. Fummerton, Mrs. J.D. FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR WALTER GUILLET The funeral of the late Walter Guillet, whose death occurred on September 23rd, was conducted by Rev. Dean J.M. Cano in Holy Angels' Roman Cath- olic Church on September 26th. The pall bearers were Frank Driscoll, Donald Mc- Couan, Robin Moore, Alex Power, Harry Martinsen, and Ted Graham. Interment was in Schreiber ceme- tery. Mr. Guillet's immediate survivors are his wife Louise, four daughters, Susanne, (Mrs. E. Beaucage of Port Arthur), Evelyn (Mrs. G. Thrower), Darlene and Jocelyn, at home, all of Schreiber; four sons, Raymond of Windsor, Robert and Denis of Port Arthur, and Lawrence of Vancouver; three sisters. He was predeceased by a daughter, Diane, in 1952. Mr. Guillet, who was 57, had lived in Schreiber since 1943, coming here from Domremy, Sask., where he was born. He had been employed with the Depart- ment of Highways in Terrace Bay. Attending the fun- eral from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. R. Guillet of Windsor, Mr. and Mrs. R. Guillet, Mr. and Mrs. E. CATHOLIC GIRLS' CLUB HOLDS FALL MEETING Colleen Cosgrove presided for the regular meeting | of the Catholic Girls' club with 51 members attending Lunda Huard, Joan Lapointe, Donna McGrath, Linda Singleton and Laura Campbell were welcomed as new } members . Plans were made to hold a penny auction on | Octo- ber 4th in the Guild hall. It was decided to have the annual mother and daugh ter banquet on Sunday, November 3rd, following Benediction. The girls began plans for the Christmas card sale. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Peter Christie, a daughter, in the Port Arthur General Hospital, on Sunday, September 29th.
