ROSSPORT Roy Rochon left Friday to work:in the mines at Hendrix, B.C. Mrs. Anne Sharp of Kenora is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Len Ibey this week. Mr. and Mrs. G. Spencer and family visited rela- tives at Kakabecka Falls over the long weekend. Harry Bain is a patient in McKellar hospital . Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Gerow and children, accom panied by Mr. and Mrs. Peter Testori spent the holi- day weekend with relatives in Port Arthur. T.F. Seppala motored to Port Arthur and Nipigon on business this week. _ Charles and Anne Todesco spent Monday and Tues- day at the Lakehead. Peter Legault left by plane Wednesday, to visit his brothers, Bruce and Brian, in Bellville, Ontario. Mrs. J. Wilson of Port Arthur is visiting Mr. and Mrs. E. Legault this week. Mrs. Len Ibey accompanied Mrs. Sharp as far as Fort William on Friday on her return to Kenora. The Government Corps. of Engineer boats, the Sisqwit, Atomic and Shenehon, docked here this week while working in the waters in this area. Mr. and Mrs. J. Dionne of Fort William are visi- ting the Herb Legaults this week . Mrs. Joyce Yandon has her mother Mrs. Delta Perron, her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Jackson and daughter Heather of Noranda, Quebec, visiting her. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. W. Todesco are holidaying with relatives at Sioux Narrows this week. A special meeting of the Public School Board was held on Thursday evening in the school. It was decided not to paint the Interior owing to the diffi- culty in obtaining help and equipment because of the many strikes in this part of the country. Response to the published tender posted was very poor. The roofing is to be done if possible before cold weather sets in. Other repairs are to be done by the mainte- nance man. Mac Hubelits application to provide transportation to Schreiber High School for students, was accepted as he would purchase a van type little bus for same. Mrs. Agnes Legault was again hired as janitor for the coming year and was notified to do the house- cleaning of the school. All accounts were passed for payment and the chairman reported that the plum bing had been repaired and garbage disposed of. The} secretary was instructed to write to parents of high school students re transportation provided. New window shades are to be ordered for the class room and the grass cut in the schoolyard.
