Gould and family have returned from a three week holiday visiting Clara's father, Mr. H. Fairs, in Hamilton and Fred's mother, Mrs. Myrtle Gould in Strathroy, and sisters in London and Parkhill. A family re-union was held while they were in London. Heikkile Worship Service - first Sunday each month at 7 p.m Mrs. Peggy Wellings recently returned from a trip } out west where she attended a Family Reunion, held the weekend of July 20th. Many people will remember Peg's Dad, Mike Miller, who was care-taker of our Post Office for a number of years. Eight of his children were able to be present. Thirty-seven members of the Miller clan representing three generations, started gathering at Resource, Saskatchewan and renewed acquaintances before meeting at the Resource Community Hall for dinner and dancing, Saturday evening, July 20th. Sunday was a day of picnics, soft ball and track and field events, before the Miller clan bade fare- well to each other and went their separate ways . After Peggy arrived home, her brother Don and his three boys, Donald, Brian and Phillip, stopped off on their way home to Montreal, to spend a few days with Peg and Jack. Dr. and Mrs. D.J. Michael McCausland announce the marriage of their daughter Margaret Kathleen, to Mr. Ingo Rolf Schmiedchen, on July 18th in Toronto. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. J. Clancy were Mr. and Mrs. Fred O'Donnell and Mr. and Mrs. Bud Hustowitz, from Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. Reg Clancy and family from Brampton, and Mr. and Mrs. Buz Clancy from Hornby were also recent visitors with the Clancy's. Candace Cotton is visiting in Deep River with Mrs. Beth Goneau and daughter Wanda, former Mary Lou Valiquette. residents of Terrace Bay, now residing in Kingston, spent a few days visiting Gertrude, and Reg Cotton enroute to Vancouver. Failure is the line of least persistence.
