SCHREIBER Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Forman this weekend were the former's mother, Mrs.. Elizabeth Forman of Fort William and Mrs. Ruth Lindsay of Ingersol, Ontario, Mr. and Mrs. Barry Lugsden of Sarnia are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Campbell, visiting also others in the Campbell families. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Forbes Macadam are their daughter Joyce, her husband Ray Nott, RCAF, Trenton, and son Ken. Sister St. Henry (Monica Greengrass) is visiting her mother, Mrs. Henry Greengrass. The worst hit in the recent rain storm seems to have been Tom Webb, on the corner of Scotia and Superior Streets, when the sewer outlet did not carry the torrent and his basement flooded to 6 feet.| ; | Society was held Thursday morning at the home of the Arthur LeBlanc on Winnipeg and Superior, also had some four feet of water in his basement. Pat Guina and his daughters Kathy and Karon visited Pat's mother, Mrs. W. Guina and other relatives in the Saskatoon area. Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Nesbitt and family of Prince George, B.C., are camping at Walker Lake and visiting relatives in Schreiber. Mr. and Mrs. Roland Dagnall of Berkeley, Cal., are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lester McCuaig, also visiting Mr. and Mrs. W.G. Furlonger and Mr. and Mrs. Innes West. Mrs. Vince Creighton of Chapleau is here staying with her mother while Mr. and Mrs. Bert Morris take their vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Weaver and daughters, spent their holidays in Duluth and other centres in the US 'Mrs. Harriett McBride has gone to Winnipeg to visit her daughter, Bee, whose marriage to Keith Hutchinson takes place on August 3 ROSSPORT Mr. and Mrs. M. Bauk and children left Wednes- day for their home in Hendrix Lake, B.C., after visiting the latters parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. Rochon the past week. Messrs. David and Ronald Spencer left Friday to ' work in St. John's, Newfoundland. Mrs. G. Goodchild has returned from Terrace Bay Hospital . Baby Patricia Pronovost has returned home from the hospital . Miss Maxine Hubelit is visiting relatives in Fort TERRACE BAY NEWS JULY 25. 968 William this week, and taking in the C.L.E. Mr. and Mrs. R.T. Kenney, Colleen and Shirley Ann Spencer were Fort William visitors Friday. # Mr. and Mrs. George Schelling of Windsor arrived Saturday to visit their brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W. Schelling. Miss Camilla Todesco B.A., M.S.W. of Windsor has arrived to spend her holidays with her parents Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Todesco. Ronald Legault, after spending the past two weeks at his home here, returned Sunday to Port Arthur. Mr. and Mrs. Philip Legault has returned from a vacation at Barwich and Fort Frances. Patricia Gerow, Marvin Legault and George Spencer Jr., visited Mrs. Josephine Gerow at Kama | Tower during the week. A special meeting of the St. Berchman's Altar president, Mrs. Eugene Gerow, to discuss urgent matters pertaining to the Church administration and maintenance. Also discussed, was the holding of a bingo to raise funds for a parish family who lost their home and furnishings in a fire last Wednesday morn- ing. It was unanimously agreed by the members that a sum of money from church funds be given to them. The meeting opened and closed with a prayer, and coffee was served. Mr. and Mrs. R. Minoletti, William Minoletti and Mrs. K. Watchler of Port Arthur arrived Sunday to visit Mr. and Mrs. P. Testori. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Moe and children of Vancouver B.C. are guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. Gerow. Rossportites came forward in their usual helpful manner when they offered their homes to billet Mr. and Mrs. Spencer and family following the early morning fire last Wednesday which destroyed their home. Clothing and accommodations were quickly found for them, as they had to flee the building in their night attire. Towns and villages nearby were approached re an empty house to accommodate them but without success. Proving that the village of Rossport lived up to their name of a 'Friendly Little -- Town', the men, under the leadership of Mac Hubelit worked two days to fix a house that was condemmed by its owner, Mrs. Frances Campbell of Terrace Bay, former resident of Rossport. She offered the use of the building until a more suitable home can be found. Traffic on the highway here Sunday was just like Metropolitan Toronto on a busy hour, due to the big washout six miles east of Terrace Bay.
