LOCAL GIRL WINS COMPANY SCHOLARSHIP A Kimberly-Clark Retirement Luncheon on Friday, June 28th honored Rune Ostling who took early re- tirement after nearly 22 ;years with the Company. Attending the Luncheon were John Ferrier, Jack Thomas, Jack Kelty, Hector McLeod, Thor Olsen, Cliff Knauff, Len Crockford and Fred Soughton. At the Luncheon, Rune was presented with a Gold Pass which entitles him to visit any Kimberly-Clark operation and a colored picture of Terrace Bay. Rune also received a pension letter outlining details of his lifetime Kimber] y-Clark pension. All of the presentations were made by Mill Manager John Fer- rier. Rune Ostling was hired by Kimberly-Clark in Sep- tember 1946 as a Millwright Foreman. When Fraser- Brace, the General Contractor for mill construction, arrived in January 1947, Rune was assigned to them as a Labour Foreman for about (Cont'd on page 7) The Kimberly-Clark Pulp and Paper Co. Ltd., with operations at Terrace Bay and LongLac, Ontario, have granted their 1968 Kimberly-Clark Scholarship worth $2,000 to Miss Lita Marie Boudreau of Terrace Bay. The award is granted to the individual who achieves the highest total final marks (of those qualified to compete each year) on Grade 13 subjects. Miss Boudreau is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Boudreau of 157 Birch Crescent, Terrace Bay. Mr. Boudreau is a long service member of the Mill Accounting Office Staff. DRIVE.
