Prior to their departure, Rune and Elsie Ostling were entertained at various functions. 'Mrs. 1. Marsh, P.D.D.G.M., Order of the East- ern Star, opened her home on Sunday afternoon, to members of the Order, who gathered to wish Elsie a fond farewell, and present her with a token of their esteem. Elsie's Knitting club, with their husbands, met at the home of Mrs. Lil Harris, for an evening of enter tainment to bid adieux to Elsie and Rune, and pre- sent them with a gift for their new home. The Bridge Club, to which Elsie had belonged for many years, met at the home of Mrs. Tena Young, for an afternoon of bridge, and a gift was given to Elsie from the members . The Ladies Auxiliary of the Community Church presented Elsie with a Life Membership and a gift, in recognition of her untiring efforts in the Ladies Auxiliary, particularly in the early days of the Church, when Elsie was President. Curlers and ex-curlers held Open House in the Curling Club Lounge on Friday evening, to honor two life members, Elsie and Rune. Jack Caccamo, President of the Men's Curling Club, was Master of Ceremonies. John Ferrier spoke on behalf of Kimberly-Clark, and wish Rune a happy retirement. Reeve Cavanaugh brought greetings from the Council and the town. Ida Romaniuk, President of the Ladies Curling Club, spoke a few words.
