The wedding will take place on July 20th at 3 p.m. in Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church in Schreiber. Roxanne Hill, whose marriage to Lloyd McLellan takes place on July 29th, was honored at a shower party, arranged by 21 neighbours in the home of Mrs. J.D. Bromley, when miscellaneous gifts were presented by Susan Bromley and Susan Hawke. Contest prizes were also presented to Roxanne. Mrs. Tony Speziale and children are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Grover, in Prince Rupert, B.C. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. G. McLellan (Pam Grover) and family in Duncan, B.C Twenty-five enjoyed a dinner given by the public school board to their staff (husbands and wives), served by the A.C.W., in the Anglican Church Hall. Farewell gifts were presented by the Board and staff to teachers leaving this year - Mrs. Anna Laine, Mrs. Peter Christie, Mrs. H.W. Lawrence, Mrs. W. Clemens, Mrs. R. Molinski, Mrs. Laine and Mrs. Clemens also received teaspoons from the North Shore Federation of Women Teachers. Mr. and Mrs. C. Holmes have returned from Copper Cliff where they attended the wedding of their niece. Mr. and Mrs. Herlihy and Mrs. T. Webb took JUNE 27, 1968 part in the Lake Nipigon Fish Derby. Mrs. O. Laine entertained the staff of the Public School at a barbecue dinner at their camp on S&nd Lake - an exciting occasion for Mrs. H.W. Law- rence, who caught two fish. D'Arcy Furlonger is in Ottawa visiting his broth- er, Laurie and his family. Mrs. Bill Holland and Mrs. Ivor Jacomb were in charge of the advance election poll-here. Mr. and Mrs. E. McCouan and daughter Eva Mary, and Elaine Babestrini of Windsor, are the guests of Mrs. M. McCouan. Reo Nagasaka, also of Windsor, is visiting with Mr. and Mrs. H. Spikula. Thirty of his young friends honored Terry Condie at a farewell party held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Small, presenting him with matching shirt and socks, and sum of money. Terry goes to a new home in Sudbury, having remained here to finish his schooling when his father was transférred by the C.P.R. Mr. and Mrs. Cosimo Figliomeni and family of Toledo, Ohio, are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Figlio- meni Sr., and Cos' brother - Mr. and Mrs. Jim Figliomeni. Bill D'Arcy and Bill Mullins, both local chair- men of the organization, are in Toronto attending a general committee meeting of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen.. Gus Cosgrove, who has been in Downsview Hos- pital, Toronto, is visiting his parents and will go on to visit his sister, Mrs. Harold Sylvan, in Calgary. Miss Alma Madill of Western Conservatory of Music, London, Ontario, is conducting piano ex- aminations for students of Holy Angels Convent and Mrs. Ethel Smitheman's studio. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Rouvan of Toronto, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Caccamo en route west. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Conacher, Robbie and Debbie of Fort William, visited the latter's parents Mr. and Mrs. Henry Miller. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Showers of Simcoe are visiting the latter's brothers and sisters - Mrs. Showers is the former "Chuck'"Fummerton. SEPARATE SCHOOL OUTING Thirty-six Grade 8 students of Holy Angels' Separate School enjoyed an outing, which took them to various points of interest in the district - (Cont'd on page 14)
