Report and minutes of the Legion Auxiliary District Meeting, held in the Ortona Legion Hall on March 30th, were given by Mrs. Cora Bajkiewicz, Member- ship Convenor, who had been appointed delegate to the District Meeting. Plans were made for a Ajateieand! Social to be held i in the Terrace Bay Legion Hall on Saturday, May 31. There will be live music, and an enjoyable even- ing can be expected. Tentative plans were made to hold a Father's Day The regular meetinf of the SILVER BIRCH CHAP- TER, #264, Order of the Fastern Star was held in the Star Room of the Masonic Temple on Monday evening Worthy Matron Stella Brown and Past Patron Charles Sitch presided over the meeting. The minutes of the April meeting were read and approved by Secretary Anna Laine. The Treasurer's report was given by Dorothy Rummery P.M., in the absence of Alice Farrow. The reports of the sick and visiting convenors of Schreiber and Terrace Bay were given. Cérrespon- dence was dealt with in the usual manner. LADIES AUXILIARY PLAN VETERANS' SOCIAL The Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 223, held their regular monthly meeting in the Legion Hall on May 19th.
