We've heard Ron hailed as a native of St. Louis, Schreiber and Chapleau, but we know Ron's hockey career was developed in the years he lived in Terrace Bay. Also, he's married to one of our own girls - Jane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Heenan, who reside here. Ron and Jane now have two sons - Jeffrey, aged 2 years and Stephen, born in February of this year. Correspondence included thank-you notes from those who had been ill, and or- ganizations to whom dona- tions were mdde. Mrs. Slomke reported that a projector has been purchased and members voted that membership in the Audio-Visual Depot should be continued. Anyone having used stamps are urged to turn them in to Mrs. S. Jones. The Afternoon Group will pack parcels for PAGE 9 Crippled Civilians, and members are asked to turn in used clothing, old watches, irons, toasters, shoes etc. to be sent at their next meeting. The C.G.1.T. Mother- and Daughter Banquet will take place in Schreiber this year. Grades six, seven and eight of the Sunday School are going to try an experiment, having their meeting after 4 o'clock weekdays, rather than on Sunday. A donation of $ 25.00 was given to the Library Committee to purchase new books for the Church Library. Instead of a Bazaar this year, free-will offerings will be accepted. Little felt boots, socks or bells will be distributed to members and these will be presented at a special meeting. Mrs. Farrow and Mrs. Mercure of the Property Committee stated they had cleaned the kitchen, which is badly in need of painting. It is to be hoped the Board will be able to include the kitchen in their "Paint-the-Church" project. The meeting closed with the Mizpah Benediction.
