The girls enjoyed hot dogs and the birthday cake before going out tobbogganing on the hill. Susan's friends presented her with q sewing basket. In the Public School, Donna Chapman took first place. She was awarded a certifi cate for $10.00 to buy books of her choice. Second place went to Cathy Graham and third place to Bevin Schritt. They were both awarded a certificate for $7.50 to buy books of their own choice. Two other competitors who came very close to winning, and de- serve honourable mention were Maureen Mikus and Pat Megraw . Mr. Don Briscoe, principal, introduced Mr. Verne Hopper, Worshipful Master of the Terrace Bay Lodge 662, A.F. & A.M., who presented Donna witha plaque, donated by the Lodge. This award is present ed annually to the winner in the Public School .
