L. R. Tremblay was master of cere- monies. The program opened with two selections by the Schreiber High School choir- under direction of Miss Joan Wray and Miss Sandy Chisholm. Next was a lively square dance with Ed Borutski as cal- ler. Dancers were Alec and Claire Power, Doug and F-™ Luke, Martin Ryan, Guire, and Ed and Irene Borut- ski. Clever, lighting and colorful costumes created a beautiful scene for the nativity play which was directed by Mrs. Lila Morrow. Joseph was played by J. E. Wills; Mary by Miss Holly Berndtsson; and the inn keeper py John Ribout. The choir was direeted by Giovanni Cebrarip Sofoists were Miss Crystal Kus- hé and Mr. Cebrario. Pianist was Miss June Sy *itski. Teachers in the Kool Kats are Tony Speziale, Harold Shack, . Ron Lannigan and Gary Speck, at back. In front from left - Jane Syvitski, Holly Berndtson, Sandy Dennison, and Mrs. Deol. An amusing play, Night Be- fore Christmas, was presented by the grade six pupils with nar- ration by Mary Bourke. The 'Terrace Bay Male Choir accompanied by Mrs. Marilyn Chisholm and Jed by Bert Lohr delighted the audience with a medley of Christmas carols. During intermission Tony Commisso entertained with a selection of accordion solos. A suprise number, Kool Kats, featured teachers in cat cos- tumes doing a dance. The Terrace Bay Band, led by Mrs. Ellen Hodgkiss, played several selections. '"'Where oh Where did the Ho Ho go" was a hilarious comedy with Mrs. Bertha Paradis as a harassed mother trying to cope with her obstreperous children on Christmas day. Jule Speziale, on behalf of the parents and Holy Angel's School, presented a gift to Father J. M. Officers of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 109 and Ladies Auxiliary of Schreiber were jointly installed at ceremonies in the Legion Hall recently. George Cataford was install- ing officer and Lloyd Small was: acting sergeant-at-arms. Color guard was L. V. Bourke and Wallace McCouan. A social hour and a buffet dinner convened by Mrs. Bea McCuaig preceded ceremonies. Norman McCuaig was chairman for the evening. Legion 'officers installed were Jack Winters, president; J. E. Friesen, first vice-president; Gerald Nicol, second vice-presi- dent; L. V. Bourke, secretary- treasurer and service officer; Wallace McCouan, sergeant - at-arms; and Hobden Spikula, Jack Luke and. Bill Dunham, ex- ecutive committee. Auxiliary officers installed were Mrs. Bobbie Winters, pre- sident; Mrs. Vi Rigelsford, first -photos by Inez MoCuaig vice-president; Mrs. Helen Nes- bitt, second vice-president; Mrs. Betty Luke, treasurer; Mrs. Georgina Davis, secretary; Miss Sandra Dennison, warden; Mrs. Chris Dunham, assistant ward- en» and Mrs. Lillian MacDon- aid, Mrs. Ethel Nesbitt, and Mrs. Barbara Nesbitt, executive committee. Mr. and Mrs. Winters who accepted a second tetm in of- fice were commended by Mr. Cataford for their past year's work. During the dinner: Mrs. Win- ters presented a cheque from the Ladies Auxiliary. to Mr. Win- ters to assist in the work af the branch. The couple also thanked members for the co-operation they had received during the year. Mr. McCuaig thanked the Aux- iliary who provided the dinner. A dance followed with musi¢e provided by Fred McColeman and Dan MacDonald. Mrs. Ken Davis won the draw prize.
