Prize winners in Halloween costumes at a party held by the Girl Guides in Mrs. E.C. Prinselaar's home October 30 were: Kathy and Karne Guina as a cat and a hippie, Cheryl Karns - robot, Judy Parent- Spanish lady and a special prize to Alanna Power and Laura McParland - Micky and Minnie Mouse. The girls were captivated by the costumes of their leaders Mrs. Wilhelmina Prinselaar - rail- way ¢onductor and Mrs. Andrea Hill - Lord Baden Powell . Mr. & Mrs. Marshall Lawrence and their family are visiting Mr. Lawrence Sr. They will leave for Australia on December | and after a three month stay will go on to New Guinea as missionaries. Floyd Burns of Lynn Lake, Manitoba has been here visiting his parents Mr. & Mrs. Arnold Burns. Miss Gertrude Cameron and D'Arcy will spend the weekend with Mr. & Mrs. Innes West. Mr. & Mes. Chal McCuaig of Atikokan visited Chal's parents, Mr. & Mrs. Lester McCuaig over the weekend. A throng of maskers paraded throughout town on Halloween this year and few were identified until the unmasking at the Fire Brigade dance. Among those arousing keen curiosity were Three Wise Monk eys, a strange Snow White and her Seven Dwarfs, Raggedy Ann and several evil fooking witches. Prizes went fo Mrs. Kay Furyk and Mrs. lrene Bolan, first, as Centennial couple, Giovanni Ceb- rario and Don Beno, second, Raggedy Anns,Mrs. Ruth Maclsaac and Mrs. Judy Fairburn as Martians.
