Courtemanche Tennis Clinic - There will be a /Tennis Clinic in Terrace Bay at the tennis courts on Friday and Saturday, August I8 and 19. If you wish to receive tennis instruction, please register as soon as possible at the Recreation Office. Thus far, we have had one registration and if we do not receive more, the clinic will be cancelled. Lacrosse - The planning of the proposed Lacrosse Tour- nament, Saturday August 19, is progressing well. As mentioned before, we plan on having Fort William, Port Arthur, and Manitouwadge participate in this tournament as well as Terrace Bay. However, it is only those boys that are attending practise sessions who will be playing in the tournament. The teams will comprise of three lines each, and each line will be a different age group. One line will be a combined mid- get and juvenile, a second line will be a bantam group and a third lin e will comprise of atoms and peewee ages. At the present time, lacrosse practises are held avery Mon- day and Tuesday, starting at 6 p.m. in the arena. This schedule will be posted on . the arena kulletin board. Playgrounds - The spectal event last week was a Playgroun beach Party at Kiwanis Beach. Many parents and children had their dinner at this party. The evening programme consisted of games, sing songs, skits, weiner roast, with marshmallows and Freshie enjoyed by all Special tribute was also paid to their newly-erected totem pole, called Hilda.
