Vacation time is with us. And certainly summer time is the time for fun. But we should take our safety "know-how" with us wherever we go. Both on and off-the-job next week's safety slogan should be everybody's goal : " MAKE EVERY DAY A SAFE DAY" UNIVERSITY FUND DRIVE COMPLETED The fund drive for the development of Lakehead University has been completed in Terrace Bay. A total sum of $14,070. has been pledged of which Kimberly-Clark Pulp and Paper Company Limited has contributed $6,835. as a donation to match contributions given by the employees. The committee in charge of the campaign thank all those who have assisted this project. The Department of Highways announced that in future motorists exceeding posted speed limits in construction areas will be subject to speeding pen- alties as outlined in the Highway Traffic Act. Speed restriction signs will be placed and enforced by the Ontario Provincial Police. Fines of up to $200. and licence suspension of up to six months may be imposed.
