TERRACE BAY NEWS ROSSPORT NEWS Mr. & Mrs. W.DuPee and Mr. & Mrs. J.Starr of Cedar Rapids, Michigan are here on their annual fishing trip and visiting with the J. Spilletts. Mrs. Barry Weiss of Fort William renewed acquaint ances here on the weekend. Visiting Mrs. O. Weiben at the lodge were Mr. & Mrs. P. Taylor of Fort William, Mr. & Mrs. . Doug Nevert and family of Saskatoon, Saskatchewa and Mr & Mrs. J.Home of Port Arthur. Mrs. Eddie Page has returned from visiting relative in Sudbury. Chas Gerow and Alvin Abbott of Fort William spent the weekend with the M.Hub elit family. Mr. & Mrs. Duffy of Port Arthur accompanied Andre Nicol here over the weekend. Andre has purchased Nicol Island, named after his grandfather the late J.A.Nicol. Mrs. Wm. Schelling is a patient in St.Joseph's hospital. Clem Downey who has been teaching in Sault Ste. Marie the past year is home for vacation. Lakehead visitors recently were Mr. & Mrs. E. Legault and son Peter, Wm. Schelling and Lawrence Mushqush . Guests at the G.Spencer home are Mr. & Mrs.D. Niemi and family of Burchell Lake, Ontario. The Rochons have Mr. & Mrs. M.Baulk and family of 100 Mile House, B.C. Jack Lanktree is home from Terrace Bay Hospital and Pat Auger is home from St. Joseph's Hospital . Mrs. Nanette Moses and Mrs. Dominic Martin are visiting relatives in Heron Bay this week. Jos. Moses has returned to Heron Bay. Mrs. Ben Lespi nski and chil dren are holidaying in Hornepayne. Many Canadian and U.S. visitors were in our village this week to enjoy camping and fishing. Mr. & Mrs. Gordon Bainard of Sudbury were quests of the Nault's enroute to Winnipeg. Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Nault of Azilda and Miss Neulette Solomon of Sudbury arrived on vacation here where they had been raised. Miss Camilla Todesco B.A., M.S.W., of Windsor arrived Sunday to spend her vacation with her parents, Mr. & Mrs. C .Todesco. Mrs. Annie Molinski of Beausejour, Manitoba is visiting her son Lorne and family. Also Mrs. Spiess of Port Arthur is a visitor at the Molinski home. Caroline Mushqush of Port Arthur and Betty Auger of Toronto are visiting relatives here this week. Mrs. Geo. Bourguignon and family of Fort William are visiting the former's father Clem Downey at his summer home here. Mr. & Mrs. Herb Legault hosted a weiner and kam- burg roast for thirty-five members of the Legault family Saturday evening. Music for singing was supplied by Patsy Gerow, Don Marcotte, and Peter Legault. Mrs. M.A. Nicol of Manitouwadge visited her son Andre on the weekend at his island home. Mr. & Mrs. Steve Sipos and children of St .lgnace visited Mr. & Mrs. C.W.Todesco over the weekend enroute to Montreal. Mr. Sipos taught school here a few years ago. Other guests at the Todesco home included Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Douglas and baby of MacDiarmid. Mr. & Mrs. Felix Legault left Monday to holiday with relatives at Loon Lake, Fort William and Bar- wick, Ontario. Mr. & Mrs. Tom Yandon and children camped at Chippawa Park over the weekend. The school board of trustees met Friday to make plans for the house cleaning of the school before fall term. School supplies were unpacked and stamp- ed. Supplies were to b e ordered for the teachers room. Mrs. A. Legault was re-hired as janitor. Mrs. Percy Sully proudly displays the Bible and rifle association silver trophy which belonged to Mr. Sully's parents the late J.H. Sully of Battleford, Saskatchewan. The Bible is dated on the fly leaf 1880 and the trophy was won by J.H. Sully in 1887 and 1888 when he belonged to the Battleford Rifle Association which was founded in 1884 by the Hon. L. Clarke. Mr. Percy Sully also has his father's medal won in the Battleford Rifle Battalion for fight- ing in the Northwest Rebellion of 1885. I've discovered a new cereal package.
