Guest speaker Comrade J. Kelty delivered an interesting and enjoyable speech. In closing he pro- posed a Toast to the Ladies. "Fields of Sacrifice", was the film shown, and Comrade Kelty's speech came alive as many beautiful war memorials were shown in different parts of the world. The veterans of both World Wars and the younger service men met after the film to enjoy a riotous half hour sing-song. The tempo changed later as Sax Lundberg and WO George Churney supplied music for dancing. Fe At the close of the evening, to send the two most On Sunday, June 18 the Royal Canadian Legion senior veterans happily on their way, the whole Branch 223 held a Father's Day Tea in the Legion company joined in singing "So Long It's Been Good Hall. To Know You." There was an exceptionally good turn out of family parties who enjoyed the delicious pie and ice cream or cheese and beverage, served by Centennial gowned servers. Reeve Cavanaugh 's party were also in Centennial dress as were several members of the Ladies Auxiliary . Convenor was Sadie Benko, Servers included: Mary Clare Coupal, Linda Woodruff, Heather Boyd, Mari- lyn Benko and Donna Hiebert. In the kitchen were Dot Coupal, Rita Corrigan, Minnie and Linda Wood- ruff and Sheila Dakin. Pourers for the evening were George Churney , Pat Jones, Charlie Koski, Paul Coupal, Nick Bajkiewicz and Howard Solly. Door prize was won by Mrs. G.
