LIFE MEMBERSHIP PRESENTED AT BANQUET One of the highlights of the twentieth annual wind- up banquet of the Terrace Bay Curling Clubs was the presentation of a Life Membership to Mrs. Elsie Ostling, who with her husband Rune and Mr. & Mrs. Jack Wellings are the only founder members still active with the clubs. Mrs. Betty Bouchard presented the framed member- ship to Mrs. Ostling amid resounding applause and a standing ovation. Introduced also at the banquet, held in the Moose Hall, were both new executives for the 1967-68 season. For the Men's Curlin g club - President B. Hayes, Secretary Carl LeBlanc, Treasurer Ed Kennedy Directors L.Crockford, R.Roberts, B. MacDonald, R. Gavin, H.Hermes, D.Kenny, W.Slomke. Trustees are H.Gusul, P.Rochon, J. Shubaly. Ladies Curling Club Executive - Mrs. Lois Shubaly President, Ist. Vice President Ida Romanuk, 2nd. Cvitkovich, Directors Mary Dashkewytch, Donna Josus, Elaine Zwir. Two more vacancies will be filled in the fall. M.C. Jack Caccamo then presented the trophies beginning with the Caccamo Trophy for Men's Club J Champions which went to K. Johnson, M.Osmar, : W.McKie and C.Knauff. Runner up: L"Crockford, | B.MacDonald, E.Belliveau and G.Dakin. < Benny Hayes presented the Hiram Walker Trophy to winners of 'A' event - H.Gusul, G.Churney, G. Gusul and J.Szpak. Len Crockford rink was runner up in this event also. Reeve E. Cavanaugh presented the Carling Trophy to winners of 'B' Event - H.Hamilton, D.Kenny, E.Kenny and W.Adamo. Runners up were C .LeBlanc} R.Gavin, R.LeBlane and D.Wills. 4 The Northern Builders Trophy for winning the 'C' event was presented by Hal Laussen of Marathorto - T.Olsen, A.Chisholm, R.Cotton and J.Gunn. Runner up - B.Hayes, J.Clancy, P.Rochon, W.Rand To the winners of the Club Bonspiel went the Sough4 ton Trophy presented by J. MacDonald to L.Crock- ford, R. Thompson, W.McKie, W.Slomke. Runner- up - K.Johnson, E.Bouchie, H.Hermes and J.Szpak Consolation winners were J.MacDonald, B.Mac- Donald, F.Anderson and D.Gunter. The coveted Kimberly-Clark Trophy for the mixed bonspiel was presented to winners J.Chapman, M. Hale, W.Randa and G.MacDonald by Mill Manager f J.Ferrier.
