MARATHON WINS BOWLING COMPETITION A Marathon team composed of Bill Harris, John Bell, Len Bissonette, Bobbi Bird, Dot Mathews and Evola MacKenzie captured first place in the 4th Annual Labatts International Mixed Tournament on Sunday. With twelve teams shooting for top spot, it was a struggle down to the last frame of the last game. Marathon put together games of 1045, I110, 1256 and 1114 for a total pinfall of 4525. Paul Gagnon rattled the pins at a.276 average and a four game total of 1103 to take the men's Hi-Four. Stan Cizinoski of Wawa took men's Hi-Single with 335 while just missing out on the men's Hi-Four by nine pins. There were teams from Red Rock, Nipigon, Terrace Bay, Marathon, Manitouwadge and Wawa.
