But Wawa caught up and at the end of regulation time the score was 6-5 in favour of Wawa. This tied up the series. One ten minute stop time period and three ten minute sudden death periods were played. With 10 seconds to go to end the third sudden death overtime, Wawa scored to'end the game. Scorers for Terrace were Papousek - by Phillips, Phillips - Papousek, Stefurak - Spadoni, Papousek - Papineau, Papousek - Papineau. There was a good turnout for both games and Wawa spectators commented on how well our boys played and that our team was a much tougher club than they expected. Our boys are to be congratulated on such a good effort. The Midgets travel to the Lakehead for the Cent- ennial Tournament on March 4th. CURLING CLUB NEWS Len Crockford continued his winning streak by de- feating Ken Johnson for the Soughton Trophy, last weekend. R. Thompson, B.McKie and W.Slomke backed Len for the win against E.Bouchie, H.Hermes, TERRACE BAY NEWS SCHREIBER Page 9 ; The J. MacDonald rink with B. McDonald, F.Ander- son and D. Gunter ran third for the consolation. Looks as though there is no doubt that Ken Johnson will reign as Club Champion this year but there will be strong contention for runner up spot. Next, is the Kimberly-Clark Bonspiel. All men skips will be listed on the lounge bulletin board. Should they not wish to enter they are requested to delete their name from the list. All club members to enter their names on the list. Ladies third and lead - Men skip and second - Ladies can also skip a rink. The committee will form rinks and skips will draw their rink from a hat. This should be an interesting 'spiel and we hope very competitive. The Third's Bonspiel is schedul- ed for March 18 and 19. Watch for particulars! Marlyn MacDonald, a pupil at St.Martin's Separ- ate School and daughter of Mr. & Mrs. J.MacDon- ald of Terrace Bay was winner of the Public Speak- ing Contest sponsored by the Ontario Trustee and Ratepayers Association and the Hydro Commission and held in Red Rock recently.
